A Diabetes Meal Planning Method
Being diagnosed with diabetes means that you need to change your eating habits.

When people find out they have type 2 diabetes , the first thing they want to know what they can eat and how much they can eat. The truth is that healthy eating for a person with diabetes is the same as for a person without diabetes.

You can still eat the foods you love. But you have to learn how to include your favorite foods and still keep your blood sugar levels on track.

The first diabetes meal planning method is called rating your plate.

Here’s how Rate your Plate works:

-about one-fourth of your plate filled with carbs, such as noodles, bread, rice, corn, peas potatoes or fruit,

-about one fourth of your plate filled with main dish ( protein) fods such as meat, fish, cheese, eggs, tofu.

-at least half of your plate filled with vegetables. Carrots, broccoli, green beans, spinach, tomatoes.
